Foxford Hills Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Cary, Illinois, north of Barrington.
Foxford Hills Golf Club first opened for play in 2002. The course was designed by Dick Nugent.
Foxford Hills Golf Club is owned and operated by the Cary Park District. Foxford Hills runs through a housing development. The first six holes are relatively wide open, with expansive greens, spacious, undulating fairways, and discrete water and wetlands. The look is windswept and coastal. Many of the next 12 holes, especially the back nine, meander up and down hills framed by mature hardwood trees. Sixty distinctive MacKenzie-style bunkers populate the course. The flavor is vintage Carolina.
Foxford Hills Golf Club is a par-72 layout that measures 7,023-yards from the longest tees.

My only complaint is the ranger(white hair and older) is rude and does basically nothing to keep us on pace. We had two threesomes and a foursome in front of us with a twosome in front of them. The foursome was EXTREMELY slow so our two threesomes joined up and played four or five holes. We STILL had to wait on every shot for the foursome in front of us as a 6-some. We never even saw a group behind us and the group in front had at least two open holes. When we got to nine, this cranky, curmudgeon of a ranger scolded us for playing six. We were polite and explained to him the problem He said we could not play with six so we broke up. He did not listen to our concerns just gave us a tough time and said it would open up on the back because a nine hole league had finished playing. It did not and the ranger ignored the problem which was the group in front of us. We could have played 6 and never hold anyone up and still wait on every hole. My point is this. Rules are rules and I get that. However, if the ranger was not so cranky and did something to improve the situation, we would have been happy. Instead, he did nothing to solve the problem but did manage to irritate customers who come to the course two or three times a year with usually eight players.

Every hole different. Each with a unique characteristic that offers a different test of your skill. A great play regardless of handicap!!

A very nice course, in very good condition. These are not cookie-cutter holes. I enjoyed the "run-off" areas surrounding many of the greens as it allowed for different type of shots to be played from there as well as didn't result in the ball automatically being in the rough if you slightly missed the green. Five sets of tees allow for every type of player to score. Only negative - and I'm being very picky on this - was a lack of a marshall to help with pace-of-play. In my opinion, they either need a marshall or do a better job of spacing when groups can begin their round (though they do have 4 clocks on various holes that are to remind you of your pace of play). Overall, a great course for the money.

Always in nice shape. A fair amount of sand in play, but not oppressively so. A good amount of elevation change for this area. I always enjoy playing here and feel it is a god value, especially with the coupons available on their web-site

Best bang for the buck in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Course always in great condition, staff is friendly. Only drawback is pace of play. They could leave a little more time between foursoms in order to allow for slower players on this difficult course. Highly recommended as a great round for a great price.

Big suprise for North Dakota. Loved this course. Lots of climbing in and out of traps and banked greens that are hard with bad knees, but well worth it!

Course was a nice surprise for the first time playing. Condition was great and greens were extremely fast. They don't do the usual plug type aeration, only pricking so no time is a bad time to play.

Great layout; with lots of variety. A favorite of mine, that I like to play several times per year, despite the 1 hour drive from my home.
